Coaching

I am an experienced leadership and executive coach who holds an ILM Level 7 Diploma in Professional Coaching and Mentoring.

As a highly experienced leader and with a strong background in people and organisational development, I have helped a wide range of clients explore their individual challenges and develop their potential often enabling them to address blockages to achieve their desired outcomes.

My style of coaching has been described as transformational, moving beyond the presenting ‘topic or theme’ to enable clients to explore how they view, think, feel and behave in situations, including their interactions with others. In my experience, if clients adapt, change or transform behaviour they are much more likely to create the desired changes identified in coaching sessions.

I adopt a client-centred approach, creating a safe space for exploration, challenge and planned action. I adjust to the needs of clients along the spectrum of coaching and mentoring, offering direct insights, information and signposting to valuable resources/ tools as appropriate.

I am a member of the Association for Coaching and The Institute of Leadership and Management.

As a Business Coach I use my background in senior management and leadership roles in industry along with skills in creativity and innovation. By providing an outside perspective I can help to focus on business challenges and opportunities but not forgetting the importance of maintaining a healthy work life balance.

Typically, over a series of 4-6 sessions, we create a partnership and that safe space for self-reflection and action. My aim is to support clients, where I can, to apply any new awareness in order to adapt, change or transform what they do.

I recently introduced a Group Coaching Programme, aligned to Action Learning, providing collaborative opportunities for clients to learn from insights and contributions from their peers.

In addition to owners and leaders of SME’s, client organisations include Glasgow University and Scottish Enterprise.

"You listened, let me hear myself, supported and encouraged me to find ways forward. Very quickly you made me feel comfortable and able to share openly and honestly"

'As our organisational benefits are not measured by a P&L bottom line it is difficult to measure the financial benefit of my coaching however, I do believe that the return on the investment the organisation has made in my coaching programme will be evident in months and years to come as a result of the improved focus, confidence and clarity that I bring to the organisation.'
